Professore ordinario di Lingua tedesca all’Università degli Studi di Palermo. Laurea in Germanistica presso la Philipps-Universität Marburg e laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere Moderne presso l’Università di Palermo. Dottorato di ricerca in DaF (Tedesco lingua straniera) e Habilitation in Fremdsprachenforschung (ricerca sull’aquisizione delle lingue straniere), entrambi conseguiti alla Philipps-Universität Marburg. Responsabile scientifico del progetto MOOCs per un percorso sperimentale della didattica delle lingue straniere (MIUR FFO 2016), del progetto Erasmus+KA2 LEELU (Developing Teaching Competencies for Extensive Reading Programs, 2016-2019) e del progetto +KA2 Forthem (Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility, 2019-2022). Ambiti di ricerca: comunicazione in videoconferenza, analisi multimodale del discorso, didattica della lingua tedesca, motivazione, metodologia della ricerca qualitativa, teorie cognitive dell’apprendimento.
Full professor of German language at the University of Palermo. He has a degree in German Studies at the Philipps-Universität Marburg and a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Palermo. PhD in DaF (German as a foreign language) and Habilitation in Fremdsprachenforschung (research on the acquisition of foreign languages), both from Philipps-Universität Marburg. Scientific coordinator of the MOOCs project for an experimental path of foreign language teaching (MIUR FFO 2016), of the Erasmus + KA2 LEELU project (Developing Teaching Competencies for Extensive Reading Programs, 2016-2019) and of the + KA2 Forthem (Fostering Outreach inside European project) Regions, Higher Education and Transnational Mobility, 2019-2022). Research fields: videoconference communication, multimodal speech analysis, teaching of the German language, motivation, qualitative research methodology, cognitive theories of learning.
