Federico Boschetti si è laureato in Lettere Classiche presso l'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia nel 1998. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Filologia Classica all'Università di Trento in cotutela con l'Università di Lille III nel 2005. Ha inoltre conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Cognitive and Brain Sciences - Language, Interaction, and Computation presso l'Università di Trento nel 2010. Dal 2011 è ricercatore presso l'Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale "A. Zampolli" del CNR (CNR-ILC).
Attualmente lavora presso l'unità di ricerca distaccata del CNR-ILC dislocata al Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) dell'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia. I suoi interessi di ricerca sono: Filologia digitale, Filologia collaborativa e cooperativa, OCR storico e Semantica distribuzionale applicata a testi antichi.
Federico Boschetti graduated in Classics at the University “Ca’ Foscari” of Venice in 1998. He got his PhD in Classical Philology jointly at the University of Trento and the University of Lille III in 2005 (thesis: “Essay of computer-assisted linguistic and stylistic analyses of the Aeschylus’ Persae”). He also got a PhD in Cognitive and Brain Sciences – Language, Interaction and Computation at the University of Trento in 2010 (thesis: “A Corpus-based Approach to Philological Issues”). Since 2011 he has been a researcher at the Institute of Computational Linguistics “A. Zampolli” of the CNR of Pisa (CNR-ILC).
Currently he works at the detached research unit of the CNR-ILC close of the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) of the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice. His research interests are: Digital Philology, Collaborative and Cooperative Philology, Historical OCR and Distributional Semantics applied to ancient texts.
ABSTRACT
Questo contributo illustra le attività e le risorse prodotte dal Laboratorio di Filologia Collaborativa e Cooperativa (CoPhiLab) dell’Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale “A. Zampolli” del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR-ILC). Dopo una breve presentazione del laboratorio e della sua collocazione all’interno del contesto italiano delle Digital Humanities (DH), vengono descritte le linee di ricerca e la ricaduta che le attività del CoPhiLab hanno sulla didattica e sulla formazione. Vengono elencati i servizi infrastrutturali offerti dal laboratorio e discussa la scelta di aderire al nodo italiano CLARIN-IT delll’infrastruttura di ricerca CLARIN ERIC. Il laboratorio fornisce risorse e tecnologie al repository nazionale ILC4CLARIN e condivide conoscenze e buone pratiche tramite un nuovo Knowledge Centre di CLARIN dedicato alle DH, il DiPText-KC. Quest’ultima attività è svolta in stretta collaborazione con il Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), che afferisce al DSU dell'Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia.
This contribution illustrates the activities and resources produced by the Collaborative and Cooperative Philology Laboratory (CoPhiLab) of the Institute for Computational Linguistics "A. Zampolli", National Research Council (CNR-ILC). After a short presentation of the laboratory and its role in the Italian context of Digital Humanities (DH), the lines of research and the impact that the activities of CoPhiLab have on teaching and training are described. The infrastructural services offered by the laboratory are listed and the decision to join the Italian node CLARIN-IT of the research infrastructure CLARIN ERIC is discussed. The lab provides resources and technologies to the national repository ILC4CLARIN and shares knowledge and best practices through a new CLARIN Knowledge Centre dedicated to DHs, the DiPText-KC. The latter activity is carried out in close collaboration with the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), which is part of the DSU of Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
