La ventesima edizione della principale manifestazione italiana dedicata a Linux e al software libero rischiava di saltare a causa delle restrizioni imposte dalla pandemia COVID-19. Ma grazie ad una fortunata serie di eventi e relazioni abbiamo ricevuto il sostegno di GARR, e siamo stati in grado di allestire l'evento interamente online pur senza dipendere dalle solite piattaforme statunitensi che attingono dati personali dagli utenti. Breve panoramica dell'allestimento tecnico, delle modalità adottate, e dei risultati operativi di questa esperienza.

Linux Day Online: the first GARR TV live "on the road" test

The twentieth edition of the main Italian event dedicated to Linux and free software was in danger of skipping due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. But thanks to a lucky series of events we received the support of GARR, and we were able to set up the event entirely online without depending on the usual US platforms that draw personal data from users. Brief overview of the technical set-up, the methods adopted, and the operational results of this experience.
