Giorgio Giorgetti si è laureato in Ingegneria Elettronica, indirizzo Telecomunicazioni. Dal 2000 lavora presso l’Area dei Servizi ICT dell’Università di Trieste occupandosi di sicurezza informatica e dell’infrastruttura di rete dell’Ateneo. Dal 2008 cura la progettazione e implementazione di LightNet, la rete regionale accademica e della ricerca del Friuli Venezia Giulia di cui è Direttore Tecnico.

Giorgio Giorgetti graduated in Electronic Engineering and is specialised in telecommunications. Since 2000 he has been working at the ICT Services of the University of Trieste, dealing with IT security and the university's network infrastructure. Since 2008 he has been responsible for the design and implementation of LightNet, the regional academic and research network of Friuli Venezia Giulia of which he is the technical director.
