       GARR Conference is the annual meeting of users, operators and managers of the Italian national education and research network aimed at sharing experiences and comments on the use of the network as a tool for research, training and culture, in different contexts and disciplines.

The core themes of this editions are data, artificial intelligence and technology transfer both towards the enterprises and single persons. We will talk about open data and services, cybersecurity, industry 4.0 and its relations with research and innovation. We will discuss how education should be rethought in order to keep the pace with the continuous evolution of ICTs, also with the help of these very same technologies.

On 1-2 October there will be several training opportunities for GARR user community. These courses span from classes dedicated to trainers (Moodle: how to manage a course e How to create and disseminate educational material online), to courses on Public Speaking, on cybersecurity (PenTest & Rooting) and on networking (Software Defined Network). Classe 1992, Maurizio Romano è un Dottorando in Scienze Economiche ed Aziendali presso la nostra Università. Laureatosi in Informatica con una tesi afferente al Semantic Web, ha vinto una borsa di ricerca per la "Creazione di algoritmi per l'analisi di dati del settore turistisco". Attualmente Tutor didattico nel corso "Metodi di Apprendimento Statistico per il Data Science" della Laurea Magistrale in Data Science, Business Analytics e Innovazione, incentra la sua ricerca su Statistical Learning e Big Data.

Born in 1992, Maurizio Romano is a PhD student in Economics and Business Sciences at Università di Cagliari. Graduated in Computer Science with a thesis related to the Semantic Web, he won a research grant for the "Creation of algorithms for the analysis of data from the tourism sector". Currently Teaching Tutor in the course "Statistical Learning Methods for Data Science" of the Master's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics and Innovation, he focuses his research on Statistical Learning and Big Data.

Customer Satisfation da Booking

Questo lavoro propone un modello automatizzato per lo studio delle recensioni dei clienti per ciascuna struttura presente su Booking in merito alle strutture presenti in Sardegna. Successivamente tramite il software statistico R le recensioni sono elaborate in linguaggio naturale, col fine di comprendere per quali aspetti il cliente fosse soddisfatto o meno, e per fornire un mezzo di benchmarking alle strutture alberghiere. Il modello è tradotto in una applicazione SaaS.


Customer Satisfation from Booking

This work proposes an automated model for the study of customer reviews for each structure present on Booking regarding the structures of Sardinia. Subsequently through the statistical software R the reviews are elaborated in natural language, with the purpose to understand in which aspects the customer was satisfied or not, and to provide a means of benchmarking to the hotel facilities. The model is translated into a SaaS application.
