Temi della conferenza

The core themes of this editions are data, artificial intelligence and technology transfer both towards the enterprises and single persons. We will talk about open data and services, cybersecurity, industry 4.0 and its relations with research and innovation. We will discuss how education should be rethought in order to keep the pace with the continuous evolution of ICTs, also with the help of these very same technologies.

Using Machine Learning to prevent modern cyber attacks

Over the last few years' machine learning has migrated from the laboratory to the forefront of operational systems. Amazon, Google and Facebook use machine learning every day to improve customer experiences, suggested purchases or connect people socially with new applications and facilitate personal connections. Machine learning's powerful capability is also there for cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is positioned to leverage machine learning to improve malware detection, triage events, recognize breaches and alert organizations to security issues. Machine learning can be used to identify advanced targeting and threats such as organization profiling, infrastructure vulnerabilities and potential interdependent vulnerabilities and exploits. Machine learning can significantly change the cybersecurity landscape. Modern attacks and sophisticated malware have been able to bypass network and end-point detection to deliver cyber-attacks at alarming rates. Palo Alto Networks, always been focused on preventing modern cyber threats, makes use of Machine Learning in a pervasive service model that leverages on a centralized analysis (Machine Learning algorithms) of the relevant information traced on the network, on local endpoints and datacenter and at the same time on Cloud infrastructures (Public Cloud IaaS-PaaS-SaaS). Users will then benefit from the integrated and automated Machine Learning engine into their security infrastructure based on Next Generation Firewall, Advanced Endpoint Protection and (Public) Cloud Security
