Shalini Kurapati è data steward della facoltà di Tecnologia, Politica e Management presso la TU Delft (Università di Tecnologia di Delft). Ha un ruolo consultivo sul contenuto e sugli aspetti politici delle pratiche di data management per la ricerca a livello di facoltà, con l’obiettivo di un cambiamento culturale tra i soggetti interessati verso la scienza aperta. È stata una ricercatrice per più di 7 anni, specializzandosi in analisi quantitative e qualitative dei dati prima di assumere il ruolo di data steward. I suoi argomenti di interesse e competenza non si limitano all'integrità della ricerca, ai principi FAIR sia per i dati che per il software, alla protezione dei dati e la privacy.
Dr. Shalini Kurapati is the data steward of the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). She has an advisory role on the content as well as the policy aspects of research data management practises at the faculty level to bring a cultural change among the relevant stakeholders towards open science. She has been a researcher for more than 7 years specialising in quantitative and qualitative data analysis before taking up the data stewardship role. Her topics of interest and expertise are not limited to research integrity, FAIR principles for both data and software, data protection and privacy, and the carpentries.

In questo talk vorrei presentare la nostra esperienza al TU DELFT: di come abbiamo messo insieme la biblioteca (support centrale) e i data stewart disciplinary in ciascuna facoltà, per promuovere il cambiamento naturale necessario a diffondere l’open science e il data management tra i ricercatori. Sottolineerò i nostri flussi di lavoro e il nostro quadro di coordinamento, pensato per includere esperti legali, ICT e di proprietà intellettuale ed offrire un one-stop-shop per ogni genere di consulenza relativa a open science e data management
Open Data and Management. What’s in for the researchers and how can we support them?
In this talk I would like to present our experiences at TU Delft, how we brought together the library (central support), and the disciplinary data stewards at each faculty to foster a cultural shift to open science and data management among researchers. I will highlight our workflows as well as our coordination framework to include legal, ICT and IP experts to provide a one-stop-shop for all open science and data management related advice. .
