A Cloud Computing infrastructure for the Competence Centre for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage
ABSTRACT
Nell'ambito del progetto del Competence Center for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (4CH), è stata definita la progettazione e l'implementazione di un'infrastruttura Cloud Platform-as-a-Service come prototipo per il primo Centro di Competenza per il Cultural Heritage Europeo. A riguardo, sono stati integrati alcuni dei servizi sviluppati (e attualmente in uso) da e per le comunità afferenti al Cultural Heritage.
In questo contributo riassumiamo lo stato del lavoro svolto nell'ambito delle attività del progetto 4CH, i servizi attualmente ospitati e le diverse soluzioni adottate. Il contributo si conclude descrivendo i prossimi passi verso la creazione della prima piattaforma Cloud europea (e relativi servizi) per i beni culturali.
Within the context of the Competence Centre for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (4CH) project, the design and deployment of a Platform-as-a-Service Cloud infrastructure as a prototype for the first European Competence Centre of Cultural Heritage has begun. On top of this, some services used and developed for the cultural heritage community have been integrated.
In this contribution, we summarise the status of the work carried out within the 4CH project activities, the services currently hosted, and the different solutions adopted. We conclude by describing the next step towards the creation of the first European cloud platform (and related services) for cultural heritage.
